2nd Trimester. Now what?

Okay, it's a blessing to have made it to the 2nd trimester! This is our first child, so I am wondering, what exactly should we be doing now to prep and plan? Thank you!

I am probably a bad one to answer, since we have pretty much done nothing! I haven't felt well this entire pregnancy, so it's been tough. I just started looking at bedding/cribs, and have a date set for our shower. I will be in 3rd trimester in a few weeks so I need to get my rear in gear!

I have no clue either. I haven't done anything. Where we are living now and when the baby's born in June is not where we will be living about a month later, so I really don't want to decorate a nursery until we get into the permanent place. I don't know the sex yet either,so that makes it tough. I am just enjoying not wanting to puke anymore! lol!

Sit back and enjoy your pregnancy. You don't really need to schedule birth classes or breastfeeding classes till your third trimester. I personally also wait till the third trimester to purchase anything for the baby. Right now the only thing I suggest you do is purchase some breast pads, you can start to leak colostrum now so be prepared you don't want to stain your bra or shirt. You can buy a pack of 40 disposable for about 10$ and a resuable two pack for 20$.

We just hit the 2nd tri, and now that we know what we are having, we are starting to get our butts in gear. we picked out nursery paint last weekend and going to paint it this weekend and go furniture shopping. since its twins and we need 2 cribs, etc, i cant afford to get it all at once so we are slowing going to fill the nursery. we also have childbirth classes scheduled for the 3rd trimester, my mom is working on planning the shower for the 3rd trimester, and we picked out a day care and have our names on the list for when they are due.

there is so much to do and im not sure how good im going to feel in the 3rd trimester, or how mobile ill be with twins so im trying to get it all taken care of in the 2nd tri.

At 17/18 weeks with my first pregnancy I had started researching baby gear. I knew we would want to register soon after our a/s, so I started doing the research early. We didn't actually purchase much until later, but I at least knew what I wanted. We also ordered the furniture around that time, mainly because we found a good deal and were not expecting anyone else to be buying furniture (grandparents, etc).

I am in the same boat! We live in FL now but will be relocating to OH after the baby is born in June! It's kinda sad not to be able to paint and decorate a nursery for our first child!
