Hi all!  DH and I are proud parents of a gorgeous 3 year old boy.  We decided to give it a go and TTC #2 naturally (no medical assistance) about 5 months ago, but haven't had any luck so far.  We're not youngsters and gave ourselves a window during which we hoped to conceive.  I came to the bump looking for others who have gone through similar situations where they come to terms with not having more children, and am amazed at the support and advice offered by so many, and in so many different areas!  What a great place for women to come together to help one another out.  I hope I can offer the same to some who need it.

    Welcome. Glad you found such great support.

    You are aware it can take up to a year to conceive? Did you have issues with #1?

    Hi Doc,

    No, we didn't have any issues with #1.  We just thought we'd give #2 a try.  I know it can take a while to conceive, but being of 'advanced maternal age' I know how much my body has changed just in the last 4 years, making pregnancy less likely than it was when we conceived our son.  We have the attitude of if we get pregnant, what a true blessing and we will welcome this baby with open arms and hearts.  If we don't get pregnant, then we are blessed with a healthy beautiful boy and are grateful to have the family we've got.
