Hey Ladies, I need any and all recommendations and thoughts!
I'm a teacher, trying to decide if it is financially worth it to stay home or send baby to daycare. If I stay home, it'll be TIGHT as DH is a teacher, too!! BUT, is it worth it for me to work if we need to pay for daycare? I've always wanted to stay home. But I'm torn, as I love teaching and didn't earn my MEd for nothing!
What daycares are in the area? Family daycares? Moms who may stay at home with a child or two, and willing to add an infant (5 months by Sept 2012)?? What are the prices for weekly care?
Specifics would be great. Thanks so much!
Re: Milford/Hopkinton Area daycare
There are plenty of chid care centers in the area. Im not sure about in home centers but im sure there are alot of them too.
But theres a Bright Horizons and Next Generation over in Hopkinton, and over in Milford there is a Kindercare which has infant openings and they have some fantastic infant room teachers if you go tell them that Jessica sent you
, The Learning Experience which is under new management so things are getting better still a fantastic center and would totally send my child there if I wasnt working at another center. And there is Rise and Shine which im not really sure about I called them when I was looking but they told me they were not a day care center... even tho my friend sends her baby there. Over in Franklin there is a Bright Horizons and Next Generation. Over all they are all great centers which makes it much harder to look for the best fit.
Good Luck!
I made it past my goal I nursed for 1 year and 6 weeks! Im so proud of myself!
We are currently searching in the Hopkinton area as well!
DD has always been in a family daycare which we prefer, but we also really like Golden Goose Academy in Hopkinton. (We were all set to send her there but then I was sent to California for work for 5 weeks and now they no longer have a spot for her.) I am personally not a fan of chain centers - they feel too sterile and I don't like that kids of different ages are separated.
I also found this link of in-home centers if you are interested.

The cheapest I have ever paid is $225 per week for 5 days an an in-home where I had to provide everything. I am hoping to find a place that does lunch and snacks this time.
Good luck on your search!
