I love maternity leave

Today I was in pregnant woman's heaven... I stayed in sweats and one of DH's t-shirts all day, took a shower but let my hair air dry, watched tv all day (which included an hour and half long nap), ate a huge piece of cake and McDonalds french fries.  It was seriously glorious.  The only productive thing I did was some of LO's laundry in which I came to the realization that there is no way I am going to be able to keep track of those tiny socks. Anyone else have a lazy day?

    Yup!  That's been a lot of my days since leaving work around December 16th lol.  I have to admit there were days that I went a little stir crazy but for the most part my days consist of sleeping in, enjoying coffee and playing on the internet, lunching out with DH or friends, shopping, walking the dogs, napping.

    It's awesome, enjoy!

    My boss has left me work shorter days which has been nice getting home 2 hours sooner.  I can't wait for leave to start, although that will happen full time after the baby comes and I am sure I will be busy with my hands full!

    I was supposed to officially be on maternity leave January 1st, and work has finally subsided enough to start leaving me alone when I'm at home just today. It is rather nice being able to do things that you normally wouldn't be able to do and enjoy the last days of pregnancy. Be careful though, there are bitter, bitter pregnant women out there who will flame you for starting leave early!

    i am so jealous that you got your leave to start early. you are so lucky. it sucks being at work with everyone saying "youre still here???" YES i am still here, we need to pay bills and this little girl is taking her sweet time! sorry i'm miserable...but really enjoy this time while you have it!

    Well I guess I shouldn't call it "maternity leave".  I had to leave my job December 30th (didn't want to start the new year) because I am going to be a SAHM.  I live across the country from any friends and family so it's just me, DH and DS.

    So jealous of all you ladies!

    Thankfully I get home pretty early (3pm) so I have productive afternoons :)

    Tip I heard from this board regarding socks: wash them in a lingerie bag (I bought one at BB&B for $5). Works like a charm!

    I must admit I am pea-green with jealousy! Big Smile

    However, I will hopefully start working pt for the next couple of weeks before my due date, which will help. Someone take a nap for me this afternoon! Wink
