  you can...my friend and my cousin both delivered there and LOVED it...not one bad thing to say.

  I've never heard a bad thing about the ABC. I'm currently with doctors who deliver at Royal Oak Beaumont, and while I thought I was going to be okay with delivering there, I'm once again thinking of switching to a midwife and the ABC.

  I am pretty sure that since the ABC is connected to the hospital, you technically cannot actively push in the tub. It is a hospital rules that you can't actively birth in tubs for safety reasons (dumb, IMO) but at least it's consistent. You can labor in the tub as much as you need/want though.

  ABC was great! But, you cannot have a water birth there, unless that has changed in the last 6 months. I switched from an obgyn to the midwives at 34ish weeks so I could deliver there...I HATED Beaumont RO when i toured there and changed providers immediately!!! So happy I did. My only complaint was that since the ABC was empty when I got there, I had to labor in regular l&d triage for about 20 minutes waiting for the nurse and my midwife to arrive. But the triage nurse was actually totally cool and didn't bug me except to get some basic info for the computer. I highly recommend the midwives and the ABC...Sara Sutton was the midwife who attended my bith and she is awesome. Mary Davis is the other main midwife who I saw at my appointments, They practice out of Metro Partners in Womens Health in Novi.
