When the weather was nice, I went for walks every day. Sometimes for an hour or more, sometimes multiple walks a day. Now it's too cold. Now when I'm bored, we end up going shopping. I don't buy anything ridiculous (usually things that we need and never big ticket items) but I end up spending money every time I leave the house! Money that is only being spent out of boredom. It has to stop. Today I decided i'd just window shop. The goal was to walk a lot and spend nothing. We got out, walked around, browsed... and I bought a new clock, a jacket (on clearance for $8!!!) for P, and a caramel macchiato! Window shopping is just not possible!!!! I am going to start shopping at crappy stores from now on. Or leaving my purse in the car.
Is it just me? Do you (successfully, intentionally) window shop?

We did today. Technically I bought stuff, but I had a GC so it was "free". The only other thing I "bought" was lunch.
I use DD as my excuse. She won't sit still long enough for me to shop properly.
I window shop alot. I rarely pay full price for my clothes, so I will go to a store and try on things, and then wait for them to go on sale online, then order.
Today I went into Target to kill 45 minutes between when I got out of school, and my massage appointment. I ended up trying on a great clearance dress, then decided to buy it. Walked over to books and bought 2 new books...then walked by diapers and grabbed some more Pull-ups for DD.
$60 on random things. Oh and I already have about 4 new books already that I need to read, lol. I just can't stop buying books!
Aah Target is the WORST! It's like a black hole. I go in for laundry detergent and come out $150 later with 8 bags of crap! ESPECIALLY since having a baby!

Amen to the Target stuff. I really never go out shopping unless I'm looking for something specific, but if I go to get that one specific things at Target, I am absolutely guaranteed to find 8,653 other things that "would go great in the bathroom/guest room/kitchen" or that "would be the perfect organizer for this space". All things I probably would have gotten eventually, and I don't regret the purchase, but still... money that wouldn't have been spent right now.
I "window shop" online, if you can call it that, but I almost never ever buy anything online. We're talking no more than 5x/year, excluding others' birthdays and Christmas.
