Off topic :) Snow?

So this is a little off topic, but how is everybody doing on snow? I live in Iowa and normally we would be COVERED and already sick of it, and we haven't seen any yet this year, and now where I live it is suppose to get 3-5 inches :( gotta say I'm not looking forward to it at all, I was loving the beautiful weather! I need to move south. :)

Re: Off topic :) Snow?

  • No snow here in Ohio. I am totally hoping for a snow day sometime soon because it would mean a "free" day off with some relief from teaching all day. Smile

  • Northern Michigan here...same craziness here. We got maybe six inches a week and a half ago, then today and yesterday it was 45 and sunny. There were people walking up and down our road towards the lake all day. Tomorrow we might get more, but who knows at this point.

  • I'm in NJ too - right outside of NYC. We had a freak snowstorm in October, and NOTHING since then! I actually love snow. I'm hoping we see some soon.

  • I am in Southern Maine and we are having the same type of winter, not that I am complaining; I hate snow. We are slated to get 3-6 inches tomorrow morning. I figure we have been so lucky so far that I really have no reason to complain, but  I am absolutely dreading having to clean off my car tomorrow!
  • I'm in Colorado and it's been snowing all day.  We've had a decent amount of snow this winter so far, but nothing crazy.  It also snowed last weekend and our lawn has been covered in snow for a few weeks now.

  •  We got almost 2 feet of snow 3 days before Halloween this year and now not a single thing!

I mean the other day we took the kids to the park. IT'S JANUARY only crazy joggers go to the park around here in January.

I'm really bummed out too since DD fell in love with the snow before Halloween and I'd love to have some to take her out in again.

  • We're not getting much :(
  • We have nothing in Chicago! Suppose to get 6-9 over the next 2 days. I have to say, I'm not looking forward to it. I kind of like this warm weather!

  • I'm in Arkansas and we never get snow before end of January and into February.  We got about an inch back in December, though.   DH and I's dating anniversary is 1/28 and every year since we have been together, there has been ice on the ground on the 28th.  I'm better we get it this year around then as well.

It was around 60 degrees here today.  Tomorrow, the high is 39.  Both are pretty typical here.

  • We usually have a bunch in the mountains.  But nothing this year.  Feel bad for the surrounding ski resorts.  My biggest fear is having a late Winter.

  • There is threat of snow here in Seattle at the week's end, which means I'll be locking myself in my house to avoid the insanity. I'm originally from Syracuse New York......when it snows, it snows in feet, not millimeters. But a dusting here sends people into mass panic: they abandon cars on the highway, buy out all of the generators at Lowes.

    For a dusting!

  • No snow here in NY and I don't mind at all! I hate driving in snow. I'm a teacher though, so I def wouldn't mind a lot of snow on a Friday for a 3 day weekend =] (As long as sun comes out and melts it away by Monday)

  • I'm right on the NY/NJ border and no snow yet...last year we had tons by now!  I have to say, a few snow days would be nice during the first trimester!! :)

Same here, but I am loving the weather!  I'm not a fan of the cold, and what little we get is more than enough.  I'm dreading the the summer though.  LAst year was brutal!

  • I am in PA. We got a freak snow storm in October, but since then.. nothing. It's odd.
  • Well...we actually did get a little in my part of Oklahoma...it was almost like a blizzard for like 5 minutes, and then it just suddenly quit, the sky cleared up, and it warmed up a bit. It's actually kind of humid out there now, and of course, nothing stuck. We're having a really strange winter...

  • Gotta say I'm totally jealous of you guys living in Texas, and I would LOVE the summers too. Call me crazy but I LOVE the brutal hot days. I just love the heat. LOL

Woke up to snow this morning :( Not too happy. BUT I live in Iowa, so it's expected. But that doesn't mean I like it!

Only in Iowa, it was 60 degrees yesterday and snowing today.
