QOTW: If you get your BFP before the holidays, do you have any plans on how you will tell DH and/or family?

Any new updates to report??

Re: ***Central PA TTC Weekly Check-In***

  • QOTW: Well I will be testing this weekend so I MAY have good news to share on Thanksgiving.  I haven't thought about how I will tell my family but I will try and think of something cute.  For my first BFP, I didn't do anything special for telling DH.  I just opened the bathroom door and said "Are you ready to be a father?" He was half asleep and wasn't the best way of telling him but I was too excited.  If it happens this cycle I may decide to wait until Christmas to make my announcement to the family so I can make sure everything is ok first.  It's hard to keep things from my parents since I work with them and trying to leave for OB appts will be a challenge.  We'll see...

No new news for me...still waiting to test!

  • I am a pain -- I know -- It is actually cycle 5 after loss -- sorry!!!

QOTW -- LAst time I bought DH a little father type figure and a card,  we had grandmother frames all wrapped up and a big picnic planned for mothers day.  I mc the night before.   I'm not sure where DH put those frames, i don't need to see them again.    I am hoping for  a BFP this month so we can tell our families at Christmas!!!   That would be awesome, since I would have been due on 12/25.

Nothing new for me -- Just round 2 of clomid - waiting to O!!!

  • Ugh, Ang...you are a pain!!  LOL...just kidding, I'll fix it for next week.

Oh I hope we both get pregnant at the same time again but this time they will be sticky babies!  I'm thinking of you every day.  I pray that this is the lucky cycle for the both of us. :::fingers crossed:::  I hope this cycle is it for ALL OF US!!!

  • I am wishing all of you the best of luck this month!!

QOTW:  Well, I think I learned my lesson a few months ago not to count my chickens before they hatch.  I would *like* to be able to hold off until 12 weeks before telling anyone I was PG next time (except you guys, of course!!) just in case things don't work out again.  That being the case, if I got a BFP before Christmas, I would try very hard to keep it a secret through the holidays.  Not sure how good I would be at that...but we'll just have to see how things work out.  So...to answer the question, I am thinking I won't have anything to report to the family...

  • I've thought a lot about how I would tell my family, especially if it were around ?the holidays. I was once hopeful, but this dosen't seem possible now. If I continue with long cycles, I'm expecting to O right around Christmas. However, I'm going with the mindset that anything is possible since I did have one cycle that was 35 days.

Originally, I was hoping to be able to tell my parents, sister, and BIL at Christmas through some kind of cute gift..."favorite aunt" or something along the lines. Looks like I can stop thinking about those plans though.

As far as time, I'd like to say that I'd wait awhile until I know things are ok, but I know I can't keep it from my parents and sister. We'll see how long we can last when the time comes!

    GL to everyone this cycle!?
