He got peeing on the potty in a couple of days - when will he poop?

We started PTing on Tuesday and he's been doing really great with peeing in the potty.  We went straight to underwear (pullups/diapers for naps and overnight).  The first couple of days there were a lot of pee accidents, but something just clicked on day 3 and he's been great since then.

Poop is a totally different animal.  He is pooping in his underwear and when I suggest going to the potty, he whines/cries and says no.  He gets his poop face on and I immediately try to get him to go, but he doesn't want to.

I'm letting all the accidents go without anything more than, "Its ok, honey.  Let's get you cleaned up.  Next time, you can do poopoo on the potty."

I'm just wondering when he might get to the point where he wants to poop in the potty.  Any thoughts?

    My DS is in the exact same place. The first day we went through 6 pairs of underwear. NOw we are doing pretty well.... I have not caught him in the act  with #2 and he doesnt tell me after. He is also  totally off his schedule he usually goes at least once a day. But not it is like everyother day. I think once i get some idea when he goes I can time it better. But he goes back to daycare on Tuesday. Hope they go soon because #2 in underwear is not that fun!!!!

    I have no idea either!  We've been pt DD since August & while she has pee down (99% of the time) poo is a different animal!  She had pooped in the potty a few times but even just this morning she poo'ed in her panties twice this morning.  Once within minutes after sitting on the potty for at least 10 minutes!  Frustrating, yes, but I've also not really scolded her either.  I am thinking something else needs to be done but not sure how to handle it.

    I've been potty training DD since August & she's only pooped on the potty a few times! Ugh, I really wish she would get it.  We've had some pee regressions from time to time too.
