Hey all,
Along with entering my 17th week of pregnancy came an increase in my appetite!! I'm hungry ALL the time now! I need help with some snack ideas. I work in a very busy rehab gym and its hard for me to be able to sit down and eat a snack, so I need something that I eat quickly in between patients. I usually bring a couple of snacks with me, such as a piece of fruit or a granola bar, but I feel like that is not enough. The busier we are, the hungrier I am becoming...
Can anyone suggest or share what they eat during the day. I feel like I am in a rut and idea less. I need to either buy or make something that is some what "filling". Greek yogurts are out b/c I eat them practically every morning for breakfast, I love them!!
Thanks for the input
Re: Help!! Need snack ideas!
Honey roasted peanuts are my favorite right now! Or just regular peanut butter. They make some little squeeze packets of peanut butter/peanut butter and chocolate (check on the pb aisle, ours were on the top shelf) that are super portable.
Protein bars or shakes maybe? Snickers makes a "Marathon" bar that's decent. Or just good old Snickers. Peanut M&Ms or any candy you could stuff into your pocket. Peanut butter crackers, sunflower seeds, extra protein powder in your water bottle?
cheese and crackers, peanut butter with crackers, a hard boiled egg, a handful of nuts
Hummus and wheat thins, almonds, dried cranberries
Make a PB&J cut it into quarters and snack on that! It's filling, cheap, easy, and holds well.
Also: almonds, dried fruit, lara bars, luna bars, fruits, string cheese, oranges, candy (if necessary) jerky, granola, and plain peanut butter. These are staples for me! I work in a gym and am often bouncing with back to back clients first thing in the morning and around dinner time. I always have at least 3 of these on me every day. I eat what I eat and save the rest for tomorrow.

I agree with this. I always try to get a a protein in with a veggie or fruit. My current favorite is:
slices of tomato, topped with avocado (good fat) and cheese (proteinish). I guess you could put it on a cracker, if you were one to eat crackers.
