How we doing, ladies? If there was one that I missed on Monday, let me know. Otherwise, let's get busy.
How's it going?
I lost TWO pounds this week. I am doing a cabbage patch and a reverse cabbage patch in celebration.
QOTW: What are your tried and true go-to healthy snacks?
I am not much of a snacker, but my T&T breakfast lately is the protein plate at SB. It's very filling and not bad on calories and fat.
Re: Weight loss check-in
I was down 20 pounds on Monday! Of course since then I've not lost an ounce, but maybe I'll make another breakthrough tomorrow.
Healthy (or at least low calorie) snacks: pickles, pickled okra, frozen grapes and lately this dried seaweed stuff that Stacy brought over. It's awesome and a little package is only 30 calories. Score! I ordered a case from Amazon.
I'm gonna need the link to the seaweed. TIA.
Yes, link please!
I'm holding steady from last week, which is good considering all that wonderful motivation I had last week disappeared. I'm back on track though, so hopefully I do lose a little bit this week.
Exercise continues to be the issue. I need to set two alarms so I have to get up and turn one off; I usually leave my phone charging across the room, so I'll just set that one too.
I've lost about 5 pounds so far. I'm not exercising much since my foot isn't completely healed yet. I started the ever-nasty Metformin last week, so I've been having to go kinda low-carb, which isn't fun, but it's aiding in the weightloss I think (and our stock prices in P&G with all this pooping).
I've been pretty down lately, and I'm an emotional eater, so I know my calorie intake is too high, but I'm afraid to not eat enough and risk feeling pukey.
This blows. I had better lose like 15 pounds.

It's awesome!
I'm down another pound after eating healthy most of the week. I think my supply might be taking a hit since my pumping output the last week has sucked! but i'm okay with that. i made it 6 months exclusively providing BM and i'm ok with having to supplement when i run out of my frozen stash. i made it to bodypump again today, but really need to move more on other days.
QOTW: i found two new foods today that i'm excited about. 1. mission carb balance flour tortillas. 80 calories and 9 g of fiber! plus they taste like regular flour tortillas! 2. yogreek yogurt+crunch parfait. the one i had today was strawberry greek yogurt with a little big of granola for crunch. 140 cals and 11g of protein for a yummy snack.
LLCG what is SB? is that starbucks? what's on the protein plate?
Yes, Starbucks. It's got a hard boiled egg, a small piece of bread with some sort of berry in it, a small packet of honey peanut butter, grapes, half an apple, and two little white cheddar triangles. It's filling and isn't a bad breakfast (or lunch).

I actually started tracking my calories again on Monday and I walked yesterday. I'm walking again today as soon as I get home from work. I lowered my calories from 1560 to 1200 (plus whatever is earned from working out) for the competition. I've lost 3 pounds since Monday.
I'm trying to stick to clean eating as much as possible. My favorite snacks are plain greek yogurt with fresh strawberries and a little honey, cuties, carrots and hummus, apples, and grapes.

I'm down 2 pounds also but it seems so minor considering how far I have to go. Been tough this week because we've had dinner commitments both week nights this week and it's so hard to stay on track when eating out! I hate it. Why do we have to be social?
I've learned to love oatmeal for breakfast which that with a tall glass of skim milk has kept me full and not snacking through the morning-- which is good because I don't have time to snack in the mornings. But I'm also not starving at lunch which used to lead me to eating an entire basket of tortilla chips. So glad I'm overcoming my hatred of oatmeal :-)

is this the same as the fitness check in?
i surprisingly have lost 2 pounds since the holidays, marking the lowest weight i've seen since eve was born. i have been eating very VERY lean the last 2 weeks and i guess it is finally making a difference. it has taken me a full year to get to this point but it was well worth the hard work!!! 2lbs usually takes me a month.
i snack on edamame and popcorn most of the time!
Two pounds is a lot! Go hold something that weighs two pounds like a text book or something similar. When you are at the grosh go hold 2 pounds of apples. It's not a small deal, I don't care how much you have to lose.
Come on. Cabbage patch. Do it with me.
Annnnnd, now in reverse. That's right. Good girl!
2 pound is 8 sticks of butter. Go you! That's 8 sticks of butter gone from your bum! (Or where ever your problem area is.)
I feel ya on the long way to go. Ideally, I'd like to lose *at least* 50 more pounds, but you know what? We're moving in the right direction! We can do it!
True. Plus, we just burned 9 calories from cabbage patching.
I am hooked on oatmeal! I do 1/2 cup oats with 3/4 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk and a sprinkle of cinnamon and I leave it in the fridge over night. I cook it in the morning, then add 1 truvia, 1/4 cup frozen blueberries, and a sliced banana..it is sooo good!

I haven't weighed in for a few days... but last time I checked I lost 3.4 pounds. I haven't done great the last two days (but much better than before I started tracking!) but I'm hopeful I can get it together and have more of a loss by the end of the week.
I think my issues have that I've been consuming too much food. I didn't eat terribly... but I have been eating far too much of food that isn't beneficial to me.
Even last night when we went out to eat - I took half of what I normally eat home in a doggy bag. That's a big change for me. So yay. I'm happy.
