Hi all, I haven't been very active on this board (usually just lurking or on the Feb birth board)... but was curious if any of you have done the 8 Hour all-day Birth Class at Swedish in Seattle?
My DH and I originally planned to do the 4 or 6 week class, but waited until around Thanksgiving to sign up and by then all the upcoming ones were full. So now we are doing the all day class this weekend before it's too late.
Any advice for this all day one? Assuming they let you have a break to go grab lunch somewhere?
Re: All day birth class at Swedish?
I think that's what we took. Worked well for us, since we didn't want to have to come back for weeks on end. I felt plenty informed and they covered a lot (I did natural birth with breastfeeding if that makes any difference).
Bring some water. We did get a break for lunch (ate at the nearby restaurants in first hill) and got plenty of bathroom breaks
I just took the class last weekend, it was very informative and went by a lot faster then I had expected. We were given several breaks and had an hour for lunch and also finished about an hour early. I would bring snacks and a water bottle.
This, exactly. It was a pretty good class. Have fun!
