Well, it's kinda baby-related b/c it's our Beauty and the Beast DVD. I've googled but I can only seem to find info on repairing scratches to the thicker/silver part of the DVD. For our issue, it looks like there is some discoloration (almost a burned look) in the clear plastic center where the hole is. When I try to play the DVD, it's just a pixelated mess and I can't get any of the menus to come up or anything because of the stuttering and skipping/etc.
I'm not really sure how it happened. DD is no stranger to getting into DVDs to take them in/out of the case even though she knows she is not supposed to - I'm thinking she might have cracked the center somehow (heck, sometimes those things are stuck so good in the box I worry that I will crack them while taking them out).
Any advice is appreciated!
Re: NBR - can I fix this damaged DVD?
THanks Joyco - I'm going to try out the Disney return thing and then I'll let you know if we have any issues. I'm worried this one is ruined beyond repair b/c it looks burned/kinda warped in the middle.
Guess I'll have to ask DD to stop using a lighter on her DVDs from now on.
