Pedi: Dr Dan Terwelp or Dr. Beth Nauert?

Im moving to the Austin area next week and have it narrowed down to these 2 pediatricians.  Does anyone have experience with either of these doctors?  They both have great reviews online but I cant decided which to choose. 

Im looking for someone that is easy to get in with for sick days (and will get to see that doctor and not a partner).  Im also looking for someone that will not hesitate to give my kids medicine instead of "letting the cold run its course" and having them cough up a lung for a week.

 Any advice?  Thanks in advance!

    Not to offend, but I suggest you change your mindset of what makes a good doctor because a doctor that does this is exactly the kind of doctor who I would stay far far away from. 

    That said, Dr Terwelp is very nice and I like him a lot but he's probably in his early 60's (though super fit and healthy) and I'm not sure how long he's planning to practice, in case you wanted someone through your child's lifetime. He's more centrally located, and Dr Nauert is in S Austin. She's probably late 40's, nice lady I think.

    Thanks for your input on the doctors.

     I knew that comment about meds would prob cause a reaction from someone.  Sorry, I dont have a problem with a doctor who gives a little cough medicine out so that my child can sleep.  Some doctors wont, I prefer the kind that do.  I dont think that makes a doctor/good/bad.  Thats just what I prefer, thats all.

    I understand your stance but cough medicines are actually not approved for the ages of your children so I would argue from experience that a doctor who would give your children cough medicine at their current ages is not a "good" doctor. He or she may not be a "bad" doctor, maybe just uninformed or perhaps just have a devil-may-care attitude

    ETA: I don't know if "devil-may-care" is the exact descriptor I want to attach to this, I just can't think of any other adjective or saying

    Yes, Im aware of the risks of cough medicine for my 4 and 2 year old.  I have discussed this several times with my current pedi (and one of her partners also) who both have 25+ years experience being a pedi.  I can see why you might think they are "bad" or "uninformed".  However, Im confident in their decision in prescribing it after much discussion.

     Once again, thanks for your opinion on what I look for in a doctor. 

    Back to the discussion at hand, if anyone knows anything about Terwelp or Nauert then any info is mauch appreciated
