Daycare in Silver Spring?

Hi ladies. I'm having a difficult time finding infant daycare options in Silver Spring (we live near downtown). I know of the big ones - NOAA Bright Horizons and Easter Seals. I called a MD referral service but haven't heard back from them yet. If you have suggestions, I would be so grateful!

    It's hard to find good daycare for infants in Silver Spring. I was on multiple waiting lists. If you're not already on them, you should sign up as soon as possible.

    Some other places that were recommended to me include Little Feet and Silver Spring Presbyterian Church (the church runs a daycare center). Someone also recommended Circle Time child care in Wheaton, but that was too far away for me. There are also some places in Takoma Park if that's convenient for you.

     It has been difficult but I thought perhaps I just wasn't looking in the right places!While we live near downtown, I'd be open to Takoma recommendations.

    I am touring the Easter Seals center on Friday and will get on that wait list. I don't think NOAA is worth it because we'd be last priority. My sister had her baby at Circle Time, which she loved, but it is a little farther than I'd like to go that direction.

    I'll check out the other two (although I read some scary reviews about Little Feet).

    I'm surprised to see that Circle Time gets good reviews... they're close to my house, but we never checked them out because it looks kind of dumpy from the outside.

    We decided to go with a Monday Morning Moms provider.  It has been a great fit, and while it's a little more expensive than a typical in-home, we've been happy with their services.  If you call them, tell them that Jackie's mom sent you!   PM me if you want more details.

    I second the MMM referral--we went with MMM too (thanks to ch ch chia and preisless for their rec) and LO loves our provider and the other kids. We are very happy with our decision.

    I would check out dcurbanmom.com as well.  They have a lot of recommendations for daycare options in the forums section of the website.

    Thanks, all. I called MD Moms and see that you do that once you have baby. Until then, I'll keep my eyes open and get on wait lists for the bigger centers.
