Looks like I'm going to be induced mid March. So I'll take all your tips and tricks to start labor He said to try acupuncture/pressure, epo if I want and pretty much anything else I can think of that is crunchy
He said since I have had a c-section, he can't use the regular magic stuff, but I will get to say hello to my old friend pitocin.
We had a great conversation about things and I love that he is so on board with me getting to at least try. He says I've healed from my recent surgery phenomenally and baby J looks strong and healthy with a great heartbeat so why not.
In the end we all just want a healthy mama and baby however baby comes out.

I'll be 39.5ish weeks. I have GD and while it's under flawless control, the standard out here it to deliver at 39 weeks. I feel like my body is prepping much better for the baby this time around as I'm feeling stuff I never felt with H (hello lightning crotch). I really feel the pregnancy this time if that makes sense.
I'd rather give it a go med free (last induction I was 2 days on full tilt pitocin w/out meds until I demanded a c-section that instant, which my doctor didn't believe the nurses had the right patient
)
Gotcha.
I'd try having him strip your membranes--it's got about a 50% success rate and I had DS less than 24 hours after having it done. You have to be somewhat dilated for them to do that though--at least 1-2 cm. I'd start with that over breaking your water bc at least it doesn't put you on the clock. I'd definitely try the EPO inserted vaginally at nighttime to help soften your cervix. There's always sex--semen can help soften the cervix, as well.
Starting at about 34-35 weeks, I began building in a time during my hypnobirthing practice where I visualized my cervix softening and opening (I know that sounds totally hokey) and when I started labor I was 4 cm and 50% effaced--I really think the visualizing helped and I hate to sound like a crazy person for saying that.
A ton of walking and spending time on your hands and knees can really help get baby into optimal position for delivery and get baby's head to put pressure on your cervix and help you dilate.
Maybe baby will come at 39 weeks and you won't even need it!! Good luck!
I know, how did that happen? I've already scheduled the rest of my ob visits.
now to inflate the bouncey ball and start making my hips happy and wiggle the baby down
Thanks MLF
Excellent. Thanks again gals
