TTC after 35

ttc at age 44

I do have four other children..was fertile myrtle in 20's and 30's.  I have never tried to get pregnant....all of my were surprise blessings so this is kind of a new game for me.  I started my cycle on or about Nov. 29, 2011. I KNOW I ovulated mid month and we tried throughout the week..egg white milky stuff and all.  Now I am about 2 wks late on cycle. I tested with hpt this past Monday during the middle of day and it said neg.  My cycle is always about 30 days and I am never late"? Do I strike this up to perimenapausal, low hormones, false negative?? All of my prev preg. symptoms varied..one in particular just cramping like a period before I was due then it went away, one having to urinate all the time and cant really remember the others. I am on approx day 43 of my cycle...anyone want to comment or have suggestions?

  • How are you certain that you Oed - are you temping?  +OPKs and/or eggwhite CM just tell you your body is preparing to O - you need a sustained rise in tempss to confirm O actually happened.

I would test again using first morning urine, not middle of the day.

     Good luck!

  • Thanks for responding! I did not know that the egg white/milky stuff was "preparing" to ovulate but it did happen about 12 days after the last day of my last period.  I will go get another test and do as you suggested and test in the morning!!!! Thank you again!
