Good morning ladies!
I'm just wondering if any of us can tell where certain baby body parts are chillaxin' in our wombs. I THINK I can feel little feet kicking my upper right side. It's even kind of tender over there. So that would mean the baby is transverse and the head is turning down?...OR it's little hands punching my upper right side. Can't wait for the u/s next Friday!
What can you tell?
Re: Can you tell baby's body parts?
As it gets farther along it becomes more obvious. Right now I'm PRETTY sure I can tell the difference between feet and hands when she's moving, but I can't tell, yet, how she is sitting when she's not being active.
Towards the end with DS I could feel his little butt when he was just chilling out and asleep. It's crazy how big they get in there! LOL
I assumed she was head down, so I was pretty sure which was hand or feet when I was getting beat on :0) Yesterday at our OB appt she kept swatting the doppler with either a hand or shoulder, so I was right about her being head down. I loved with DS when I knew exactly what part was which. Usually I could find his back and follow it to either his butt or head and knew if it was arms or legs going at it in there. That wasn't until closer to 32 or so weeks though I think.

This baby likes to hang out transverse (head on my left side, feet on the right) so I can usually tell what's what just based on the baby's position. It's hard to tell the difference between hand/feet elbows/knees at this stage but it's easier once you get further along.
When I was 35w with DD I told the dr. that she was breech because I could feel her head up by my ribs. She kept saying "oh i'm sure that's just the butt, 95% of babies are head down by now." Low and behold I had an u/s and she was breech! She flipped to head down, back to breech and then finally back to head down at 37w.

Sometimes it's easy to tell -- like last night, Leftie was pushing his foot so hard against my belly button area (the thinnest part of me) that I could feel clearly it was a foot.
Other times it'd hard. I actually have no idea how Rightie is situated right now b/c he's kind of all over the place. He also get bopped by his brother sometimes and moves hard.
