This was my dad's name. I wanted to honor him but thought the name was too old. I used my maiden name as a first instead.

rubella immunity, saline sonogram 7/2 - uterine polyps, hysteroscopy date FINALLY 9/4! Blood pressure and thyroid are under control! Come on BFP!!!!

I think it's pretty bad, reminds me of those movies, "Ernest goes to.....". I think it would be fine for a mn though. I cant think of any other nns except Ernie.
I think of Oscar Wilde but even though I love the play, I do not love the name. Not into virtue names though and there are no good NNs for Ernest. I had a friend in HS named Ernie, and although he was sweet, I dislike the name.

It was my grandpa's name and it's my Dad's mn. I kinda like it too.
As Hannah said it qualifies as a virtue name, just watch or read Oscar Wilde's play The Importance of Being Earnest.
I think of Ernest Hemingway. In The Paris Wife, Hadley refers to Ernest as Nesto, which I think is cute but I prefer Ernie.
