Hmm.. strange. I thought the aap recently put a strong warning out against orajel. I actually like the hylands teething gel the best followed by tablets. I used orajel on eve in apinch but it waas when she was older.. like over 1.

I used an ice cube until the Tylenol kicked in. I'd wrap it in a paper towel and run it along his gums. He loved the feeling of it, and he also got a little drink of water in the process. When the ice cube got too small, and he was still fussy, I'd get him another one. The tablets never worked for him, and I thought Orajel was a no-no.
We use Orajel (rarely). I didn't realize it was such a no-no. I won't use the tablets because my dad is a doc and freaked out on me about the Bella Donna in them even though it is a tiny, miniscule amount. I mean, freaked out. He is very calm, cool and collected, so it was enough for me.
Just read a thing on Pinterest with a teething suggestion - wet the center of a washcloth and put a spoonful of applesauce in the middle, roll it up and put it in the freezer. Once it is frozen, let LO have at it.
I decided to give the teething tablet a try. Either it worked wonders or she's just totally exhausted. After two days of no naps and up every two hours at night, she's now going on a 3 hour nap.
