Question to PG ladies or anyone really...

Can I ask a Tuesday question? I apologize in advance..

By my ticker you can see I'm 22 weeks. So for 2 weeks now my belly button has been so sore that if I rub up against something it hurts like hell.  I find this very odd.  Anyone else have this or am I just a goober and totally weird.

  • Sorry I can't help. But I wondering what random things you could possible be rubbing your navel against.

  • My guess is it is just sensitive from stretching out.  I don't have any experience with being PG, though.  Hope your belly button feels better soon!

  • I had this for a while when I was pregnant with #1.  Is it like a stabbing pain?
  • Hahaha I bump it on my desk at work alot when I scoot my chair up or when I'm cooking in my kitchen.  Hey, it's getting big! It rubs against alot of things, strange... I know.

  • I think it's pretty normal for pregnancy. I know I've seen posts on the 2nd/3rd tri boards in the past with people having the same complaint although it hasn't happened to me personally.
  • I read in one of my books that this is normal around 5 months.  It's your bellybutton stretching and it could become an outtie if it's an innie.

  • great. One more amazing wonderful thing I have to look forward to one day.
  • Doodle, yes it is like that and generally just sore to touch too like if I stick my finger in there to see if it still hurts (yes I do that from time to time, I really am a goober).
  • Mrs.C, I was afraid of that! I do have an innie and it's definitely going to be an outtie before too long.  :(
  • YES mine did that around 23weeks.. it lasted until about 26weeks or so. i also got sharp side stitch pains around the belly button during that time.. but my belly button was SORE just like you described.. i have an innie and it's still an innie (34weeks) i will say my belly button looks larger than it was before. other posters are correct. it's just stretching. it hurts but it goes away :o)
