DD lost her first tooth today. How much do you leave? BFF says she does $5. It that the norm?

Re: Tooth fairy.. How much?

  • $5 is a lot, IMO.

We were going to do just a $1 bill, but then I decided to do that plus one of each coin. When people ask DD how much she got from the tooth fairy and she says "$1.41" , it seems pretty random LOL!

  • DS got $5 for the first tooth and $2 for second one.  We'll probably stick with $2 for the rest of them.
  • We haven't lost any teeth yet...something that is driving the 7 yo nuts. However, when we do we plan on giving a dollar coin and another dollar to spend in the dollar section of Target. The first tooth will get more, probably $5 or $10 and the dollar coin.

  • This is a big decision!  I was thinking 4 kids x 30ish teeth (right?!?)....whew, that's a LOT of money! ;)

We did a $2 bill for Ben's first.  I was going to do $1 coins after the 1st, but H says to stick with the $2....so I guess that's our plan.  Thankfully it will be pretty spaced out!

  • I used to get a quarter!!!  I think we will give LO $1 when she looses her teeth.

  • We do a buck.
  • We did $5 for the first tooth.  $1 for each additional.
  • We'd do $1 when LO got of age! Only because my parents gave me and my siblings $1 and H doesn't really care, haha.

  • We did $5 for the first tooth and $2 for each subsequent tooth.
  • oh gosh, I planned on doing like $5 for the first and a dollar after, BUT we live in a rural area where it's not convenient to just run to an atm or get change so DS recently lost his and got $10 way to much(it's the smallest bill I had), I think but what could I do? Now it has probably set a standard for my other 2 kids..

  • We haven't lost any teeth yet, but my plan is $5 for the first and $1 for every tooth after.

  • We do $1.  First tooth also gets a special book and a box to put future lost teeth in for the tooth fairy.

  • We did $5 for first & $1 for any future ones.  DD did come to me with the $1 & said but I got $5 last time.  lol
