Driving w/ LO

My whole fam is meeting for dinner at 5:30 like two miles from my work. Sister could put W in her car- she already has it all set up from when she has her third kid.

No one has driven W anywhere but me and H.  I'm weird like that.  Sis is a fine driver, its not even so much that it would be her I would worry about, its other people.

 Get over it?

Who does your LO drive with?

    I would let your sister drive her. You trust her so why not?  There is nothing you can do about other drivers even of it were you at the wheel.  Now if it were someone you didnt trust driving them yes I would have a problem with it. Cooper has only with h, mom, and I.

    I know I'm probably being irrational, she isnt a crazy driver.  If we went straight home from the resteraunt, it would save me about 20 miles in traveling.

    I vote for letting sister drive her. I assume her kids will also be in the car, so I'm sure she'll be driving defensively already.

    No one besides H and myself have driven DD anywhere, but there really haven't been that many chances. My mom has tried a couple times to get us to put the car seat in her when she comes to visit, but I'm hesitant. She's a crazy New York driver though.

    Actually, I take that back. My BIL drove us around one day. I didn't even think twice about it.

    DS has only riden with DH, myself, and 1 of my sisters - that is only because she was watching him for me one night and needed to go pick her daughter up at a friends house while she had him.  She has 3 children and I trust her though.

    I would let your sis drive! I hope you enjoy your meal our too!

    Our kids only ride with us here. Every 3 months or so they stay for 3-7 days at my parents. So my mom and dad drive them around then. And DS stayed with the inlaws for a week this summer and they drove him. Otherwise no one else has ever driven them anywhere.

    LO has rode with DH, I, both sets of grandparents and once with one of my good friends who watched him for an afternoon.

    I am nervous about when older DS gets his permit in 2 months -he is required to get in a certain number of hours of driving and the only way we are going to be able to do that is to let him drive with LO in the car (DH or I has to be in the front seat with him).

    I have let H, my mom and MIL drive LO. I guess it doesn't really bother me.

    only me and dh but it hasnt really come up. im nervous for the day when one of the grandparents tells me they bought a car seat! i only really trust my mom. but if my sis had 3 kids id probably trust her too.
