We have been taking DD to JTots in Farmington Hills and we LOVE them. Unfortunately we are leaving for an in home day care only because we have a second baby on the way and just couldn't afford to send two kids to JTots. If money were no object, I would, absolutely, not leave them. DD was in the Infant One room and we were paying $67.50 per day (she only went part time). They supplied everything, though- diapers/wipes and food/drinks.
We may actually send Peyton there, again, when she is old enough for pre-school.
I work full time and have had both my girls at Sunny Day Care & Montessori right in downtown Farmington since they were born. (They're 3 and 1 now). They are a "Center" but they are privately owned, which just makes it seem more cozy and less corporate than a center like The Learning Experience for instance. I absolutely LOVE Sunny Day Care, even if they are not the cheapest in the area, I think they're the best. Infant Room is $270/week for full-time, but they do take part-time for sure. I think the reduced rate once they are 2 or 3 (can't remember) is around $230/week full time. I love their hours (7am - 6pm). I love their location (just east of Farmington Rd and South of Grand River, in the old Post Office building, kinda near the TJMaxx in downtown Farmington). I love their awesome staff (some of the girls there are my regular babysitters!). I love that they have the Montessori Preschool at one end of their building so that when my 3 year old transitioned out of the Two's Room, I didn't have to go searching for a Preschool in the area for her to attend, she just transitioned down the hall to the Montessori Preschool they have, and she is doing great! She loves "school" and is learning way more than I could provide her if I stayed home. What I love about the day care is that I've always felt like the staff really LISTENS to me. If there is a certain way I want my child cared for, they listen. If they see that there is something I can do at home to help improve my child (like um, sleeping suggestions when they were infants! My first was colicky!) they gently offer helpful tips without coming off as pushy. They provide diapers, wipes, sheets, all snacks, etc. If you'd like more info, feel free to contact me, Katie: karusak@hotmail.com They also have a great Facebook page where they post pics (with the parents written permission to feature their child) and I just LOVE seeing pics of my little ones having fun while I'm at work. Good luck with finding the right day care for you! I did A LOT of searching before settling on Sunny Day Care.

My son has been going to the Learning Experience since October. We LOVE it. Super-clean, happy, bright place with very nice staff who seems to genuinely like babies. Two infant rooms, about 8 babies each. 4 babies per staff person. Staff constantly picks them up, holds them, feeds them, plays with them. There are activities, my son "does art" (ha-ha, he's seven months old). I get a discount because of where I work and it's $1006 per month. I would recommend it highly.
