I think the comments we get from people are interesting. Like I just got a text from a friend asking about any baby news, I wrote back "Nope no new news! Still just working and waiting!" and she wrote back "Sooooo sad for you!" and then something about a gift she bought me. I would rather she wrote "Sooooo excited for you!" What's to be sad about? I am not exactly crying myself to sleep because I am still pregnant. I mean, of course, I am anxious to have the baby but I don't think it's necessary for her to feel SAD for me...
Then another friend texted asking how it was going, I said I was still waiting, no news! She texted back "did they give you a timeframe?" I want to write back "yeah they say around 40 weeks generally...."
People and their interesting comments. I know they are just asking and mean well but sometimes I have to question.
Re: Interesting comments...
HA Sounds like something I would say!
I haven't had any comments like that, but just the same ol' "how are you feeling?"
I always responded to those (especially at the end) with "like normal
..."
LMAO, I will need to borrow your remark about the timing. I hear this all the time and am so over it!
My step MIL who never had kids has some great ones....
She told me 2 weeks ago "wow! Aren't you getting plump?!"
In a public restroom, she pointed out that I would probably need the handicap stall.
When DS was 10 days old, she asked if he had "started pooping yet"
Last week she asked if I still had to go to doctor appts now that I'm so far along (to which I totally wanted to respond "nah, they just want e to te them know when he arrives..."
Grrr.....
