He and is friends are openly bullying a girl - calling her the c word, telling her to go kill herself, hoping she gets pregnant etc...posting her pic and saying degrading things..sickening. I posted right to his wall: this is online bullying. It is Harrasment, intimidation and humiliation. It should not be tolerated and needs to stop. DH sent am email to me sil.
I am sick. This is not the first time. He is a 17yr old punk. He has no respect for anyone, anything and his language is abhorrent. And this is just what he puts out there publicly for the family to read....
Re: Just had to intervene on my nephew FB page...
Good for you!!!!!
OMG, that's insanely awful. I hope those kids...I don't even know what to say? Learn to be better people? Stop hurting each other?
I am not looking forward to those days...my neighour's daughter is turning 9 this year and there is loads of intense social navigating happening already.
I think you totally did the right thing.
I'm amazed by what teenagers will put out via social media. They seriously do not understand the footprint they are creating and how their actions today will come back to haunt them later.
All of that aside, I'm 100% behind you stepping up. More adults need to ACT LIKE ADULTS and keep things like this from happening. Cyber bullying, regardless of where "the root of the problem" lies, is dangerous and all too prevalent.
Couldn't agree more!
Love, love, love the new sig pic!
thank you
Sorry I am late...I am just seeing this, but I would call his school or the superintendents office in the school district where he lives in a heartbeat. Recently went to presentation by Gay,Lesbian, Bi students (part of my CEU) and it was heartbreaking to hear about the bullying. Not that your speaking of someone in that group, but the bullying in general. And what was even more heartbreaking is the things there were doing to themselves as a result (cutting) and the things they thought about doing (suicide)...no child should have to go through that.
If the parents are not willing to listen/intervene, do more. I work with high school kids and the damage caused is just so sad.
Would you really want them there?
I totally agree - I would want someone to tell me or the school or whoever that this was going on (hopefully I'll be monitoring whatever social media exists when DD starts using it). You never know how much someone can take before they hurt themselves or others.
