HCMC Midwives

anyone on here ever been seen or is seeing a hcmc midwife? I am currently with Parkview Ob through Allina, the clinic is alright, but I DO NOT want to go back to United Hospital again if I have another baby!!!! SO I am searching for a new ob clinic and HCMC has an amazing VBAC sucess rate at 81%!!! They have a separate midwife unit and labor and delivery is right across the hall if needed with a level 3 nicu. So I am thinking of switching over there come April,  when I am due for my yearly check!!

    No experience with the HCMC midwives, but I delivered with the midwives who deliver at Methodist and have nothing but good things to say about them.

    I know their c-section rate is 10% and have a good VBAC rate as well.

    Generations Womens Health VBAC success rate is 85% if you are looking for other options. Not familiar with HCMC midwives. Good luck!

    I'm semi active on the twin cities ICAN yahoo group and I think a couple of the members have delived with them.  I think they have a fairly good reputation for VBAC.  You may want to join the ICAN group and ask this same question.  But, as an FYI, if you do that you will probably get several recommendations for Dr. Hartung in Hudson over any other provider in the area.
