Big Booty Babies (LL - come in!)

Looks like E has gotten her mama's booty and thunder thighs (poor thing!), and I'm having a heckuva time trying to find jeans that fit her.

Any of the other BBB's moms have a rec for jeans (or pants in general) that fit?  I've recently tried Children's Place and Okie Dokie (from JCPenney I think) and they were both stuck around her thighs and no chance of getting any higher.

And while we're at it - did you find one brand of diapers to be better than another in terms of booty coverage?  hers are really riding up on the sides of the butt and I wonder if I switch to a different brand, will it be any better?  we're using pampers baby dry right now.

  • I gave up on jeans for several months while DD #1 was in that stage. Any time that I put her in a pair of jeans, she would cry because she was so uncomfortable.

I instead either put her in loose-fitting one piece outfits made of knit material or used cotton/knit pants that were meant to be loose. Carters and Jumping Beans (Kohl's brand) make these kind of outfits/pants.

The best is when I was able to find capri/cropped pants. They were a shorter length so they actually fit her when she needed the extra thigh room of a bigger size.

  • Luvs fit my BBB best, and got bonus points for being a little cheaper.  My DD's starting to lose some of her big booty (and thigh rolls are almost nonexistant *sniffle*) but I always had to buy her jeans a size up and then cuff the bottoms.  I think most of hers at that age were Gymboree or Carters.  Gap and Old Navy never fit her well.

  • We actually got her some Garanimals jeggings from Walmart when DD was rocking the big booty (which the CDs didn't help).
  • If you are looking for jeans, we found that the Janie & Jack ones fit great.  They have a lot of extra room in the trunk region.

Otherwise, stick with stretchy leggings or knit pants.

    Ditto this exactly.

DD's still got some junk in the trunk (and I love her big ol' booty!!), but now that she's in panties, I can finally put her in jeans. Whether she was in cloth dipes or 'sposies, she was always too much booty for jeans.

  • I just stuck with stretchy pants. Now that she's growing up and not out, jeans are fitting much better.
  • My son has always had that problem. The ONLY jeans that he can get over his thighs are from Gap Kids. He wears the original fit. Works perfectly.
