Baby sleeping all day

My son is 9 months old and for the past 2 days he has been sleeping almost all day. Also he has been wanting to be held and wants to sleep on his tummy while on my lap (he has never done this before). He has also been fussier then usual. Anyone have any ideas?

    Maybe teething?  Every baby responds to teething differently.  I know I have learned when my LO does something that is not normal for her like what you are describing with your son,  it is often teething.  The thing is with teething is a lot of times you are not aware of what is going on because you cant see any physical changes in their mouth.

    He already has 4 teeth and never acted like this when the other teeth were coming in

    He might be getting sick.  My LO just recovered from Croup, and before he developed the telltale cough, he was sleeping a lot and very clingy.  It all made sense after the fact.  I'm not necessarily suggesting your LO is getting Croup, but maybe he's coming down with something.

    sounds like he is probably getting sick or actually already is sick.  

    I would call the dr. though because any lethargy should be checked out.  Just call and ask the nurses what they think and they will tell you whether you should bring him in or not.
