office clothes after c-section

Hi There,

I'm hoping to be cleared for action next week (8 weeks) and was wondering what you all wore back to work. A couple of my maternity pieces are comfortable enough with my incision (black dress pants, 2 black skirts.) I plan to wear cardigans and tanks because I'll be pumping too. Any other ideas?

Also, where can I find some comfy-on-the-incision, inexpensive, transition pieces? Maybe things with elastic waists? My work is business casual (no jeans.) TIA!

To be honest, when I went back to work at 8 weeks - I wore my old clothes without any problem.

When I went back to work, I was back in my regular clothes. There were some days I was feeling puffy so I wore my maternity pants.

I have been back to work since Sept and still can't wear my normal clothes for pants because of baby weight that still needs to be lost. i weigh less than what I did at my heaviest but it redistributed. My incision never bothered me.

I wore my maternity pants, and then bought a lot of dresses and layered with leggings since I came back in January. I avoided fitted things and went with empire dresses/shirts so I could still wear them after I lost the baby weight.

Last time I wore my maternity pants and bought a pair of pants 2 sizes up to make do until my regular work stuff fit. I wore looser non-maternity shirts. I also got some shapewear, kind of like this: https://www1.macys.com/shop/product/flexees-shapewear-firm-control-torsette-romper-1856?ID=594309&CategoryID=55806#fn=sp%3D1%26spc%3D147%26ruleId%3D22%26slotId%3D27 to wear at the beginning under my clothes. It took me a while to fit back into my regular clothes.
