Boy or Girl, what do you think?

in 2nd Trimester

Hi everyone, we had our 18 wk ultrasound last Friday. To our disappointment the tech said that she coudn't really tell the gender because the legs were very close together. Any other Mommies think this looks familiar or can take a guess? I asked my OB, she is not sure either as there are usually two lines for boy and three for girl..but on here there are only 1 line a black shadowy spot. The view is from the bottom as if the baby is sitting on a glass table. All guesses are encouraged, thanks ladies!

    It's really hard to tell...But if I had to guess, I would guess girl because I'm expecting a boy and ultrasound shows very obvious boy parts.

    I would guess girl, because I don't see boy parts.  However the three lines aren't really visible either.

    I'm going to be the odd one out and guess boy.  I'm no u/s tech, but think it looks like the scrotum to me and his legs just aren't wide enough to get a good shot.  Do you get to go back in for another look?

    I have an OB appt. tomorrow and she is going to tell me when I can go back, probaby will be in 3 weeks or so. I have Asthma so she wants to continue to monitor the growth.

     I can also see girl and boy in this, so we'll see..thanks ladies I really am appreciating all the responses :)

    I would agree with a previous poster, I think it looks like a scrotum as well. So I'm guessing boy.

    well I should say I don't see much of either, lack of boy parts could mean girl, but there aren't any defined girl parts either so either way might be hiding lol

    I don't know if this helps at all but this is the baby from the side.

    thanks ladies! I went to my Doc yesterday and she said she couldn't tell either, but the more I look at it the more I am thinking that we might have a little boy on our hands, I am going to have another one done next week to confirm, but then again if they do say boy, I will be confused until birth! lol
