Hey all, I hope I'm not posting a repeat here but I would love it if everyone.... - listed the types of nursing bras and tanks they tried, - what they liked and didn't like about each, - and which one was their top pick favorite!
I'm small chested to begin with, 34 B, only went up to a C. I tried two old-school nursing bras in a, um, traditional "bullet" shape (haha) like this one https://amzn.com/B001XJBOM0 and didn't like them much. The shape was not-my-style, and the hooks were somewhat cumbersome to re-do, although I did like the soft cloth.
I was thinking of trying one of these pretty lace ones ( Le Mystere Women's Sexy Mama Nursing Bra, https://amzn.com/B003P2VHQQ), since I'm smaller chested I was hoping it wouldn't constrict to much? Haha, I really have no idea what I'm talking about!
I guess I'm just hoping to avoid spending tons of money trying different styles to find something I like, by getting input from all you smart mamas.
I don't remember what bras I have, but I love them. I also have the old navy nursing tanks and love them! I will definitely get more of those with baby #2!
I should preface this by saying that I am fairly small chested 36C when BFing (A/B when not).
I only tried nursing tanks from Old Navy- I hated them. I don't know if I just got a bad style, but I always had a horrible time getting the hooks to go through the little fabric loops.
I had both nursing tanks and bras from Target (Gilligan O'Malley) that I liked. The tanks came in two styles. The kind where the bottom layer went all the way around the breast and the kind that just had a "sling" under and around the outside. I had some of both. I liked the full ones for early on and the sling stule for later. I tried a traditional style nursing bra (with formed cups). It was never comfortable for me. I ended up using the "sleep bras" all the time.
Re: Recommend your fav Nursing Bra and tanks!
Ok, I'll get us started.... hehe.

Motherhood bras.....D- Terrible range of sizes and the cups were too stiff. I had bruising under both arms.
Target tanks....B- They squeezed a little tight for my liking.
Target bras.....C- Again, not a full range of sizes.
Medela Nursing tanks ....A+ They never smell! I've been wearing them for 2 years almost every day. Love these.
Anita Nursing Bra....A- Properly fitted, these are a dream. They're certainly not sexy, but man are they comfortable
You get what you pay for.

I swear I tried everything. Motherhood bras were junk(just uncomfortable). Old Navy nursing tanks were junk(couldn't hook with one hand).
I liked Bravado (Allure) bras and tanks from Target.
Good luck!
