F/U to falling off wagon...

Took DS to his 4-month checkup today.  He's getting so big!  And he was a total flirt, lol.  We revisited the reflux thing and will be starting him on some Zantac this week.  We'll see what happens.  Thanks for all the advice everyone!

  • Yay! Hopefully the Zantac will help and you will be able to get more time for yourself. You deserve a shower! ;)

  • My LO has reflux and was on Zantac for a few months and it did nothing for her. We finally saw a Pulmonologist and he switched her to Prevacid (a liquid) and it's worked like magic. You may want to ask about Prevacid instead. Just MO!! Good luck

We tried Zantac too & it didn't work, but usually insurance co's won't approve Prevacid unless you've tried Zantac.

I hope it works for you! You deserve a break mama! Keep us posted.

  • The pedi said we'd try the Zantac for 2 weeks and if it's not working, she'll write a Rx for Prevacid so we'll see how things go. :)

  • If youre nursing, don't forget to check what in your diet might be bothering the LO. There is no one food that is most likely to bother kids (one reason people mistakenly say that there isn't a food that mom can eat that will bother baby), but individual kids are sometimes bothered by specific foods. Dairy, crucifers us vegetables (kale, broccoli, cauliflower, etec) and wheat are common offenders, but it can be almost anything,
