I had my weekly appointment today (will be 37 weeks tomorrow) and my OB says "if you go, we're not going to stop you!" Can't believe I am so close to my due date that labor would just be considered labor - not pre-term anymore - and our baby boy would be on his way. Baby passed his NST with flying colors, strep B came back negative, and I'm measuring along just fine. I still go back weekly, but it's crazy to think that I can just have a baby at any time now. So thankful for a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby, even with GD. Just can't wait to meet our little guy.

Re: Got the "green light" today at OB appt
My Colton...Growing up so fast!
And Coralee, his baby sister...On the way!
Thats great...
I guess I got the green light, although I didn't understand it. (I was according to OB - 36 weeks 1 day, according to me and my dates and my u/s 36 weeks 3 days) my OB said that if I had my baby from now on they would expect it.....
What? I thought you had to be at least 37 weeks BEFORE they would NOT stop labor. I thought if I was 36 and or earlier they would....
I am just praying he stays in for a little longer.

That's wonderful news. I can't wait til I reach that point too!
At my visit last week I was put on modified bed rest because of signs of pre-term labor, but my Dr said that once I get to 36 weeks the cons of stopping labor outweigh the pros. My guess is that the one extra week isn't that critical although obviously the longer our LO's bake the better off they probably are.
