I'm wondering which the best breast pads are? I tried Nuk (no adhesive and they don't really keep the milk in, but their packaging is much more environmentally friendly than the others), Medela (the thinnest pad with adhesive, but it also lets some milk through) and Lansinoh (thickest, but the adhesive works great and it doesn't leak). So far my favourite is Lansinoh.
Both Medela and Lansinoh come with a lot of packaging which makes me feel guilty throwing it all out. Any suggestions for pads that work better or is more environmentally friendly? I am terribly lazy, so I don't know if reusable ones work well but then again I haven't tried them.

This! I also use the this Nuk ones (because they are the least expensive ones I have found.
I don't really like any of them either, and I've tried Lanisoh, NUK and the babies r us generic brand. I've heard lillypadz are supposed to be awesome but you have to buy them online and I just haven't gotten around to it yet.
After delivery the hospital sent me home with a box of curad pads. They were great but I haven't been able to find them anywhere.
I have 3 different brands of washable ones, but I never use them. I'm a heavy leaker at night (even when I was still pumping every 3 hours), so they were a major hassle.
My favorites are by far the Lansinoh disposables. My lovely grocery store had a sale on them last week BOGO 50% off, so I bought 4 boxes of the 60 count. I think the best part for me with them is the gel center. Reminds me of a maxi pad, but I've only leaked through twice with them, once was when I didn't bother with the adhesive.
I love theses ones

I second this. They are awesome!
I've tried them all and like Medela & Lansinoh. If you are a big leaker then you may want to pop in a breast shell on the side the LO isn't nursing on. It will catch the milk better and you want have to swap out pads as often. I used it with my first LO but haven't needed it as much this time.
Btw-a random women at BRU told me to try panty liners instead of breast pads. I haven't tried it but thought it could probably work and would be a lot less expensive.
Hi! I swear I don't work for the wool breast pad industry, but so far that's been all I've posted about (longtime lurker).
I have Reynaud's which causes a lot of nipple pain and my lactation consultant recommended wool nursing pads. They've been *great* for that (dry warmth helps the Reynaud's). I don't leak *that* much so I can't comment on absorption, but if you are looking for something environmentally friendly, I think they'd be a winner.
They look bulky (they are huge and woolen!) but I don't have a problem with them bunching under my bra or nursing tank.
They are a little pricey (I think ~$25/pair - and you'll want two so you can wash one and let it dry and have another pair to use - though I'm currently getting by with one pair). And just because I like them doesn't mean everyone will. But since no one has given a shout out to the wool ones, I'll recommend them!
This! Johnson & Johnson are the best! They are a bit thicker than the Lansinoh (sp?) ones but not so much that its a problem and they work great.
