So here's a question- If you were out and about and recognized another bumpie would you say hello? I would. In the Not Crazy Person way- but I can imagine it'd be something like "Hi- I'm MsAng02- are you ______? on the April 11 Bump?
And then realize that that does sound crazy.... LOL
Re: If you saw another Bumpie IRL ?
If someone ever saw me, please do not hesitate to say "hi"!
Drea, if I ever saw you I would totally say "hi"!
I think it would depend on the bumpie, and the situation. Would I flag them down from across the room? No. Would I say something if they were in line with me at the grocery store? Probably.
Ha! Although I guess I will be saying "hi" and more on Saturday...
I'd say "hi" if it was someone I talked to regularly, like most of the ladies in this thread. I'd actually probably make a ridiculous scene from across a crowded room to get to them lol.
If it was someone I never engaged in any conversation with, I might not.
Same...pumping in office so 1ht

if it was someone on one of my main boards, probably. if it was someone from a board i lurk/hardly post on, probably not, as i wouldn't want to seem like a crazy stalker.
I think i'd be too nervous that it wasn't really them. Maybe if I recognized them from a pic AND they had LO with them for confirmation? And even then, i'm terrible with names out of context. I'd end up saying something like "do I know you?" and then feel like it was a pick up line (a la "come here often?")
meh. I dunno.
ETA: i have a friend whose hubby and daughters I have never met (an old work friend) and I saw the H and 2 girls (without my friend) at Target. I know them from her facebook pics and it never occurred to me that they didn't know ME. It was a weird moment and I felt like a total creeper. I was pregnant at the time, so I blamed pregnancy brain
LOL. Pretty much all writers in the US are Facebook friends with each other (at least "literary writers--poets, short story writers, etc.), and there's a huge writers' conference once a year that usually has about 8,000-11,000 writers there. Everyone walks around saying, "Hey! We're Facebook friends!" to the people they haven't met in person before and then hugs or something. It's so funny.
This year, everyone will get to "meet" Liam in person. It's almost weird that all of these thousands of writers know everything about each other, and we see each other once a year.
A REALLY famous writer once wanted to meet me and stopped by my publisher's table, and I wasn't there, and I went to her agent's table and tried to explain, "No, she's looking for me." I looked like a complete stalker. So. Embarrassing. Her agent totally looked at me like, "Yeah, right, the winner of the National Book Award is looking for you." *Sigh*

I would.
I have done that as well... at least from the days of LiveJournal.
