Talk to me about teething

I honestly don't remember Gavin ever being that bad with teething, until his molars came in.  I don't see anything on Riley's gums but I'm wondering if that's what's going on.  Constant drool, not sleeping well, low fever over the weekend, hands always in her mouth.  I've heard great things about the teething tablets, but know they were recalled at one time.  Would you try them?  I was going to take her in to check her ears but then her fever went away and she was much happier yesterday compared to the weekend.  I wish they could tell us what's going on!

    I swear Pierce started teething at 5 months and never popped at tooth until 15.5 mos!  We are still deeling with it.  It seems to flair up and make him so miserable sometimes for about 3 nights in a row and then calm down.  I usually rub his gums with baby orajel stuff and sometimes I give him tylenol.  Every tooth he pops seems to be a bear.  He only has 7 teeth now so we still have a way to go.  Reed wasn't nearly as bad.  I think it all just depends on the kid.  I did use teething tablets with Reed at one time, but I don't really remember noticing a big improvement.

    Oh teething, you mean hell?  Jules has been so off for over a week, sleeping horrible and having middle of the night freakouts, along with pooping 4x a day.  And yesterday, there was that canine tooth that took forever to come in, and last night she slept 10 hours straight.  I think she has 7 teeth left to go, ugh.  This one was the worst yet and she puts up a fight to use orajel or take tylenol. 

    We used the tablets but they were recalled early into her teething so IDK how much difference they made.   I think Beth is right, some kids seem to have a much harder time than others with teething, I'm hoping for an easy one next time!

    My mom took a spoon and used the back to tap on Charlotte's gums, because even when you can't really see it, you can hear the difference - that was how we found her first tooth. Might just be a little confirmation for you.

    Charlotte has been pretty good with the teeth until the molars started. Now I can't decide if she is being cranky because she is tired, or hungry, or hurting, or what?

    One dose of Motrin or Tylenol did it for Evan.  We gave him the teething tablets, but I am not sure that they did anything.  We will see with A, no teeth yet...

    With the exception of the fever, I could have written this! Rosie's molars were the only teeth that ever gave her any trouble, the rest came in pretty painlessly. But I swear Thomas is teething, his shirts are soaked with drool and he constantly has his hands in his mouth. He also chomps down on my fingers hard when I have them in there, but I don't feel anything yet.

    I tried the tablets when Rosie was in pain and they didn't work at all. The only thing that helps is giving Thomas a teething ring- specifically this one:

    Thomas has a hard time holding on to the harder plastic teethers and they're too big for his mouth. These are flexible so he can hold on to them really well, and they're big enough for me to wear as a bracelet when we're out of the house.
