Doppler question

in 1st Trimester
I find the baby's HB when I roll the doppler over to the left side of my belly, does that mean the baby is right there or is it somehow mirrored.  Im getting a bit confused.  A transvaginal u/s is not mirrored correct, but a an external u/s is?  From my transvag u/s it looks like baby is right in the middle.

    Whereever you find the heartbeat with you doppler is where your baby is positioned.   Smile

    You also may be hearing fluid pumping around.

    your lucky to hear it i still can't..I only hear mine for a few seconds then baby moves away under an artery :(

    ive tried pillow and even almost laying half off bedto bend my back up...ive tried full and empty bladder...full stomach and no food... night -morning-middle of the day...my lil booger just wont cooperate lol \ I hear it and bam b4 i can get a read on it...baby moves...but my son moved like crazy 2 we had to be in ultrasound room almost hr with him once cause he wouldnt sit still haha :)
