Is LO's head perfectly smooth?

Is your LO's head perfectly smooth? Mine has a few small bumps just above the base of her neck, and I'm wondering if that's pretty normal.

    like little bump?  yes, those are normal.  They are lymph nodes (I think?) and then can kinda swell sometimes.  I know one of my best friend's daughter had them all over her head and she rushed her to the dr just to be told it was normal.  lol.

    ridges are still pretty normal right now too.

    Yup, Cael has those on the back of his head. We were at the doctor on Friday (for something else) and asked about it, and the doctor said its normal, and part of the occipital bone. Cael's don't move around, so I know its part of his bone, but I didn't know if I bumped his head without knowing it.

    No.  You should feel some bump/ridges at the base of the skull where it begins as well as along the suture lines on top/sides of the skull.

    My LO has the same little bumps/nodules on the back of her head.  My brother is doing his surgical residency, so when I was home for Thanksgiving I asked him to feel the bumps.  He said they're lymph nodes that will eventually descend.

    Her frontal lobe looks huge compared to the rest. I feel like it goes in a bit. Now I am slightly concerned since the top of my head is smooth...

    don't be concerned.  yours is smooth because you're an adult.  her plates are still shifting.  The back of Blake's head is flat and the pedi told me to not worry until he was up off his back more because it's still changing so much.
