Did anyone else order the $15 patio set from JCpenney?

Someone posted this deal here last week. I ordered one and was bummed to find out today that the store made a mistake. So if anyone else placed that order, most likely you won't be getting yours either. To make up for it, they gave me a $50 credit towards the next $50 order online. I guess this makes up for it.

I just saw that on Baby Cheapskate's FB page. I ordered one too,but haven't been contacted about mine yet. JCP's FB page says everyone should be contacted by tomorrow, either by e-mail or phone.

It was an error by the company, but they did honor the sale price. The shipped all of their stock out st the sale price until they ran out, then they started giving the vouchers. It sucks not everyone got the deal, but at least they honored it as much as they could.

Huh. I didn't get to check it out until later in the day and it was sold out. Did they say why they wouldn't honor the price?

I guess I was one of the ones who ordered in later in the night, so I won't be getting it. I don't mind getting $50 to make up for it though.

To those of you who still haven't heard from JCP, yes, I got an email from them earlier today.

Yep, just heard from them this evening that I won't be getting mine. Was going to use it as my daughter's birthday gift this spring. Back to the drawing board...at least I may try to use the $50 certificate toward that, so that certainly is nothing to cry about.

Mine still says it's pending shipment. I haven't received another email yet. I wouldn't complain about a $50 voucher though

that's more than I originally spent.

Darn! I JUST got the e-mail from them saying they're out of stock. I thought since I hadn't heard anything, I was one of the few lucky ones. No such luck. I didn't win the lottery either so I'm 0 for 2

I got the email yesterday too. I ended up calling just to see if there was still a chance I would get one. The woman told me their stock was 50,000 and theyre shipping those first come first serve depending on when you ordered. Im not going to complain too much I think the $50 credit is a nice gesture.

That's amazing that they're honoring what they could and giving away those vouchers. I've seen a few companies have "to good to be true deals" and when they turn out to be a computer glitch they don't honor it OR give you anything.

This. I remember when DS was a newborn (so Oct '10) some website had a $100+ high chair for $13. I wanted to order it so bad but DS was in the middle of a marathon nursing session so couldn't get to my credit card. Turns out it was an error and the company sent everyone e-mails saying they weren't going to honor the price for anyone.

That was me that posted the great deal on the patio set that turned out to be a not so good deal :-x Sorry about that ladies. I ordered one too even though I said I wouldn't due to space limitations. It seemed like such a good deal. I wasn't one of the lucky ones to get the actual product, but I did get the $50 email voucher. While I was bummed not to get the product, I think JCPenney's more than made up for not being able to fulfill all the orders.
