After my baseline monitoring appointment this morning I stood at the corner shivering for 10 mins or so trying to catch a taxi to work -- the RE's office is a long walk from any subway stop. All the cabs going by were already occupied or stopped for people further down the street. Suddenly one of the occupied cabs pulled to the curb and an old-ish lady (60s) hopped out. She said "my stop is another two blocks down but I told the driver I'd get out here so you could get in!" Anyone who's ever spent time in New York knows this never happens. ;-) So I'm taking it as a sign that the universe might take care of me this month. At the very least, it makes me feel better about humanity in general!
Re: S/o signs . . .
That is so sweet!! I love it!! It reminds me of something that happened to me...
On one of my cancelled cycles I left the RE office in tears swearing to not continue with anymore IVFs..leave the building only to roll my ankle on the sidewalk and fall pretty hard...ripped pants and bleeding leg and huge swollen ankle. I was a mess. I live in DC and pretty much people are not terribly friendly but I had a bunch of people rush to my aid, a man helped me up and a cab driver who was off duty pulled over to give me a ride. It was the sweetest end to a horrible day. It told me that it was a sign that everything was going to be okay and to not give up.It also established faith in humanity. It is amazing how these little things come at just the right moments.
Your story is so sweet..thank you for sharing. I hope that it is a wonderful sign of positive energy that will lead you to success.
Take care!
