I had the girls at the store with me to get groceries for dinner. A lady comes up to me and just fawns over Isla:

Lady: She's so pretty!
Me: Well, thank you.
Lady: I just love her hair. Look at those curls! Is it hers?
Me: Indifferent She's 11 months old, no it's not a wig.
Lady: Well, it just looks too pretty to be real.
Me: Oook, enjoy your day. We need to get home.

Emma gave the lady the side eye before I could then gave Isla a hug "Isla piddy Mommy!" Yes, she's pretty baby and some people are dingbats.

OMG -- I totally needed that laugh right now. I put my DD down to bed at 8:30 tonight after a couple of really (uncharacteristically) bad nights and it's 10:40 and she's still up and crying. I've gone in and held her, gone in and not picked her up, waited and waited, and I'm gonna tear my hair out. But maybe then I'd have to get a wig like Isla's

That is pretty funny. People are so dumb! I once had a girl ask if I dyed DD's hair because her roots were a different color than the tips. She was born with black hair and it grew in light brown...... yeah, no, I totally dyed my baby's hair.

Exactly! Who asks crazy shiz like this? I thought she was joking till I looked up at her. Emma beat me to the side-eye and I was stunned more than anything. Isla's hair is maybe 2 inches long all over and you can't tell it's that long for all the curls. The only thing different I did yesterday morning was spritzed her hair with detangler spray so the curls would stand out more.

Some people, I swear.
