I wanted to see if anyone has recommendations for a portable bed for my 2 1/2 year old when we take weekend trips. We used to bring the pack n Play, but he has grown out of that. He is still in a crib at home.
We have had a Pea Pod as a travel bed since DD was about 10 months. We have taken it on planes, road trips, and camping. Once you get the hang of it they literally take 5 minutes to set up/take down. At this point I would definitely go with the Plus just for the extra size.
We have the Joovy Room2. I've only used it as a playpen but it's the same set up as a pack n play. Sane sort of mattress, folds up, come with storage back with handles for easy transport.

I might be getting this for our March vacation. Do you bring this as a carry on for the plane?
Did you have any issues with your DD moving around at night in it? My DD moves alot in her sleep.

I have to second this one. We brought it on vacation and our daughter slept great in it. I love that the fabric keeps it from being too slippery and the sides keep her from rolling off. It's also plenty long so it will last for many years.
Regalo travel cot -- available at Wal-Mart for about $25. Works great! I will say I brought my own crib sheet and blanket covers to make it more comfy but both kids loved it and actually fought over who got to sleep in that versus the hotel bed.

It is pretty heavy but believe they've come out with a lightweight version since we purchased this a few years ago.
