Have you had to give one at every appt?
I haven't given one since they did my GD testing at 28 weeks. I asked about it at my appt today and apparently checking for protein in the urine is outdated as standard testing. The MW I saw today said they generally only do it if you have signs of pre-e.
Re: Urine samples
every appt.
It's getting harder to do now though!
They ask me to give a sample at each appt, but if I can't go (happened a few times earlier in my pg), it's not a big deal. My dr office is about 45 min away from where I work, so by the time I get there, wait for the nurses to take me back, I have to pee anyways.
Only once, my most recent appt, when my BP was a little elevated did they really say that I had to give a sample. They wanted it to check for protein for pre-e. Again, not a prob. I've always got to pee these days.

That is weird. I have to give a urine sample every time I go in there. They don't just check for pre-e but other things as well. Quite honestly I'd ask them to do one just to make sure. You could be having an infection or a uti or something that would need to be treated before delivery....
I have GD. They check at EVERY appointment. I also just had to do a 24 hour urnine testing because my blood pressure went up. Have signs of preeclampsia. I would def ask why they aren't checking it.
Nope. But I am a mil wife as well and from what I understand the military does not do them unless you have GD.

Ohhhh ok. Then I guess its just a military thing.
