C-sections

undies while healing

Has anyone used the post-partum panty from Motherhood Maternity? They look perfect for after a c-section since they are so high waisted that they wouldn't rub on incision.

Re: undies while healing

  • I read several of the older posts over the weekend, and everyone said the best post c/s undies are from Motherhood. I'm definitely buying some to wear after mine!

  • Nope. Once I stopped using the hospital mesh undies I was back in my regular pair. They never bother my incision.

  • No. I bought some cotton boyshorts from Target that were really comfy after my c/s.

  • Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  They are freaking. amazing.  I have been wearing them for 3 weeks and have been pretty much back to normal, going to the mall, grcoery shopping, whatever.  Yesterday they were all in the wash so I wore regular high wasited undies with no support and it was crazy, I felt so much more discomfort, definitely couldn't walk around very far and felt like I was "falling apart" more.  Besides having no support and being in more discomfort when walking (even 3 weeks later), the Hanes pairs I got from Walmart fall down onto my incision and really bother me.  They are awful, there's really no comparison.  In the beginning the Motherhood pairs were like heaven, I had sharp pains in both sides of my stomach that completely disappeared with these panties.  It was like night and day.  They are basically like a binder but much better because they don't slip.

The Motherhood panties have been THE best thing for recovery in my opinion, hands down, the best recommendation I can make.  It's not like you'll never use them again either, since they are basically just like Spanx, I'll be wearing them for several months to cover my PP belly at least, and then you can always wear them when you want to slim down your belly.

  • I loved the mesh ones from the hospital! Lol they were excellent...so well that I took a. Bunch home with me!! And then I just wore my reg ones after they were gone, and had no prob with the rubbing my incision.

  • I didn't, but I did buy some high-waisted ones from target and they were really uncomfortable.  I went back to my pregnancy undies.  My stomach actually hurt much worse than my incision.
