So I had been waiting for this little girl to turn on her own. She is transverse, so I figured she would figure it out soon, and it seems less of a dramatic event than if she was breech. Well I'm getting tired of being head butted and have a big butt in my side! So I tried the whole hot pad and cold pack trick. Soooo didn't work. All it did was make her curl up into a ball away from both the heat and cold and made me even more uncomfortable! I guess I will keep doing pelvis tilts and leave the rest up to her.
Her dad is tall (6'5") and I am 5'5" but I have a short torso, so I'm wondering if she is long and just can't fit going the other way. She has tried to turn, but she just pops right back to the sides. Plus with my job I was always bending and squatting so maybe that has something to do with it?
Re: baby turning backfired
Have you checked out spinningbabies.com? I haven't taken a close look at it myself, but it apparantly has tips for turning babies.
If baby hates both the hot and cold, could you try putting two ice packs on the sides, or an ice pack where her head is and hot pack where her butt is?
My doctor hasn't said anything yet. She thinks there is plenty of time for baby to turn. I'm starting to wonder if time isn't the issue, but rather space.
