I have an amazingly wonderful boss who is allowing me to bring LO to work, and even though he is letting me bring him in for as long as I'd like I'm going to start him in daycare around 12 weeks (probably for only half days when I can). That being said I'm worried LO is going to wear out his welcome before 12 weeks! When he sleeps he has to be held and I'm not able to do much work that way. At night he has been sleeping like a champ (we had an 8 hour stretch last night!) but has to be swaddled. In a post about swaddling yesterday someone mentioned that they heard that swaddling during the day can cause day/night confusion, since we have been doing so well at night I really don't want this to happen. Does anyone have a similar situation? Or any expierience about swaddling during the day and having problems with it? TIA!!!
Another quick question, how much is your LO sleeping during the day?
Re: Bringing LO to work
DD is swaddled right now for a nap, it's the only way she'll do a daytime nap without me holding her. She does awesome at night so I def don't want to get her confused. So she naps in her swing or vibrating chair, in the living room, with lights on and blinds open. I go about my day except I turn the tv off and have soft music playing.
I 2nd the carrier, but get an ergonomic one that she can be in for longer. I don't think the baby bjorn or others where their legs dangle, are meant for long wears.
My LO does not nap well during the day unless he is on his tummy (I always supervise him) so it won't work too well for me. He does sleep on his back in the crib but only at night.
The Moby might be a good idea, that way you can get work done even if he doesn't want to lie down for a nap.
