Screen Door is Up!

I've seen some posts around the boards about keeping cats/pets out of the nursery. Well, we decided to go the screen door route. My husband and dad put the door up this weekend and it looks great! We were able to keep the regular door on too :) 

The door was pretty cheap, around 50 bucks. Kitty hasn't found a way to open it (thank goodness) so I think the problem is solved. So happy I don't have to worry about cat hair in the nursery and about kitty bothering baby later on.

Just wanted to pass along the tip for those who hadn't heard it yet... screen doors are a great way to keep pets out of the nursery!

    I bought one of these https://www.secretscreen.com/ a few years ago when we lived in our apartment and weren't allowed to install screen doors for the outside door. One of the recommended uses was to keep pets out of babies room. Worth looking into if anyone else needs a way to keep pets out with minimal work. 4 screws and it's up. The good thing is that there isn't a door in the way and you can pop it open with your foot when you're holding the LO and gear. On the minus side, we had to stop using it because my cat is too smart and realized that she could open it by jumping on the bottom of it.

    That's good to know that kitty can find a way around it, I just bought one.  Maybe I can hope the cat is really stupid and won't figure it out?
