diarreah and labor???

I have a question and I know its too much info, but I am curious. I started having contractions last night that were 15 minutes apart and they lasted for a couple of hours. Well, I woke up this morning from cramping, when I went to the bathroom I had very loose bowel. After 20 or so minutes I find myself back in the bathroom only this time it was like I turned on the water faucet. Afterwards, I couldn't keep myself awake so I ended up going back to sleep for an hour. When I got up I had to go to town to run some errands and I picked up something to eat. Well, I finished eating maybe 30 minutes ago and now I feel like I am going to throw up. I have even broken out a sweat. I know they say diarreah is an early sign of labor, but how long can this last before labor starts? Hours, days, weeks? I know this has probably been answered before, but I really appreciate your answers, Thanks!

    Well unfortunately it can be today or in 2 weeks. I've had very lose BM and diarrhea for over a week now, have been having cramps for over 3 weeks and still nothing... But some women have it one day and are in labor the next... Lets hope this is a sign for you that labor is coming up soon. It wasn't the case for me so far...

    No idea how long it CAN last, but I know I had both "sick hiney" and vomiting a full day before having my daughter.  I felt terrible!
