Breastfeeding on PBS kids shows

Thought this article was really interesting - they used to show breastfeeding on seaseme street - now they will only show bottle feeding. And apparently Mr. Rogers had an episode on food that had a breastfeeding segment. But the video has been removed from youtube. I was so curious to find it - and I found it on amazon - it is episode 1536 - $1.99 if you are interested;)

This makes me sad. Our culture is so unhealthy in the bodies, body-image, seeing/imagining sexuality everywhere, and breastfeeding arena.

It's sad to see where we are now - but also enlightening to see how accepted it used to be. Maybe I am just a die-hard optomist - but I like to think with a little activism we could get back to the way things used to be....
